How Indian astrologers have predicted that there are nine planets in the solar system with out any instrument

We Answered:

Astronomy and astrology have been practised even before civilisation in other countries.Arya Bahtta and Varahamira contributed and were able to see through the constellations and describe the planets that are in the Sun family and influencing life on earth. When you can see Sun and moon,it is possible the great ancient research scholars could recognise other 5 planets, namely,Mars, venus, mercury, jupite… and saturn.Rahu and kethu are only shadow planets.Astrology was meant as study of planets and their related effects on life on earth in general. The interpretation of individual horoscopes and the planetary influences on his/her life is made possible by the unselfish research and contribution from sages like parashara, but later came to be misused in the hands of psudo astrologers for self-enrichment.

We all know that there are 9 planets in our solar system, but do you think that there is another life force?

We Answered:

yes

Catherine Said:

What are the nine planets in our solar system?

We Answered:

Well, it's supposed to be 8 planets now, not 9 anymore (Pluto isn't considered a planet anymore)

In order, from the closest to the sun:
Mercury
Venus
Mars
Earth
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus
Neptune

Allen Said:

Which of the nine planets was taken out of the solar system?

We Answered:

Pluto

Regina Said:

Is it true that the Earth has more than one moon and that the solar system has more/less than nine planets?

We Answered:

If we define a moon as an object whose orbit encompasses a planet, (like Earth), rather than the sun, then the answer has to be that there is more than one! Free asteroids become temporary moons of Earth and stay in orbit from a few thousand years to several tens of thousands of years, but they will eventually leave, unlike our 'real' moon. For instance, there's Cruithne - discovered in 1986, which is a satellite 3 miles wide, and takes 770 years to complete a horseshoe-shaped orbit around Earth; scientists believe it will remain in a suspended state around Earth for at least 5,000 years. As Pluto is now classified as a dwarf planet, there are 8 planets in our solar system - Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars, plus at least 2 other dwarf planets - Ceres and Eris.
