Solar System Top-down Planet Placement?

We Answered:

Try home planet it has an Orrery which is found under display. This is simulation of the solar system

Joseph Said:

sort of a solar system simulator program?

We Answered:

Such a simulation is well beyond the capability of current computers, unless the various physical processes are modelled in an ad-hoc way. There is no way you're going to successfully model both the gas dynamics and the particle dynamics of a protoplanetary disk.

Rhonda Said:

please i need informations on how to design a solar simulator for stand-alone systems.thanks?

We Answered:

Cost is the issue.

For basic simulation of solar input use a lamp up close. the reason is that some amount of radiant heat is required.
Then go to heat lamps.
Then go all the way up to special lighting used to grow turf etc indoors for sports stadiums for eg.

Try Musco lighting website.

what are some interactive online solar system simulators?

We Answered:

Here's a few you can download...freeware

Stellarium is a planetarium software that shows a realistic 3D simulation of the night sky on your computer screen. It includes a default catalog with more than 600,000 stars, images of nebulae...etc.

Microsoft WorldWide Telescope is a virtual telescope software that enables you to explore the universe with the help of interactive star charts and high resolution imagery from some of the best land and sky based telescopes...etc.

Celestia is a real-time 3D space simulator that allows to to travel throughout the solar system, to any of over 100,000 stars, or even beyond the galaxy....etc.

Black Hole Simulator?

We Answered:

The project is called CERN and it is between Switzerland and France. It is in a seventeen mile oval shaped tunnel that has cost billions and it has taken 15 years to build. There is a simulator there and they are trying to recreate the big bang, but they've had teething problems so the operation has been put back until they fix their particle accelerator. So it wont happen now until may this year.Their idea is to recreate the big bang (as I said) to see how the universe was born by accelerating particles at the speed of light and smashing them into each other.I'm not sure about all the details but I would love to be there to watch, but then again maybe I'd rather be on another planet. The worry as far as I'm concerned is not if they will do it but when they do they just may create black holes and if this happens ,Well you know what black holes do.
I would say google CERN and go from there. That's your best bet.For the other stuff you want, just google it and I'm sure something will come up to your interest.
