What are these pictures of? Solar system?

We Answered:

first one "resembles" mercury, but its really hard to tell. esp since the photo graph is in B&W.
(I used this picture of mercury for a comparison http://pds.jpl.nasa.gov/planets/images/b… )

second one....... a binary star system? nope. it IS pluto and charon

Carmen Said:

If we sent a satellite to another solar system would it be able to send us pictures?

We Answered:

You could but it would have to be a powerful sender to send a
surge of energy to the location of the Earth in the Solar system.
And you need a large enough dish on the moon to receive it.

It would also take years for a course corrections and the hope
that the spacecraft receives those.

Charlene Said:

Where can I get real video's/pictures of our Solar System's Planets?

We Answered:

Well...the Venus surface pics are very limited....but...here's a few. Scroll down to the second section for the "surface views"...

The surface of Titan kinda looks similar to Venus actually...

As far as Mars pics....you can do a simple search for those.....they are everywhere...and more readily available than the ones for Venus and Titan.
