Teaching a 1 1/2 yr. old Math?

We Answered:

I would use cheerios, or pebbles, or whatever I had on hand, and do simple addition problems. First, have her identify how many are in each group (single digit numbers). Three in this group, and two in that group. Put them all together. Three and two make five! Three plus two equals five. You can rapidly move on to flash cards once she gets the concept. Be sure to praise her, I'm sure you do.

And don't neglect the physical and social. The worst thing is someone who is brilliant, but offensive to others. Taking turns, cleaning up your mess, saying please and thank you are skills that will serve for a lifetime.

Is this a good essay? Can you help me correct any errors?

We Answered:

Throughout, watch the tense of your sentences. Keep it consistent within each paragraph. Since this a prediction of the future, most of what you write will be future-tense.

Example: "One area in which great advancements have been made with STEM is the medical field."

should be

"One area in which great advancements will be made with STEM is the medical field."

Discuss It!
