Solar System Costs

Brandy Said:

If a solar system costs $5.5/W, how do you convert this to $ per KwH?

We Answered:

1 W = 1 Joule/s
1 KwH = 360000 Joule
--> 1 W=360000 KwH/s

Thus:

$5.5/W = $1.5277... 10^-5/(KwH/s)

Now you see it is impossible to convert this directly. Power = Work/Time, so to convert in to KwH(work,energy) you will have to consider a certain time. If you multiply this time by the original equation, you can easily convert to $/Kwh.

Daisy Said:

Can you spray paint on a rubber solar system?

We Answered:

My experience: NEVER spray paint rubber!

Check with the installer OR check manufacturer's website.
-
Oil-based paint will break down the rubber.

Acrylic paint will not stick.
