best sci-fi books set in a future where the human race is colonizing the Solar System?

We Answered:

I have read many books like the ones you're talking about. The problem is that I have trouble remembering the titles to books, so what I can do is give you some of the authors. Issac Asimov, Robert L. Forward, Larry Niven, Gregory Benford, Robert Heinlein, Poul Anderson, Roger Zelazny, Stephen Baxter, Greg Bear, Greg Egan. Those are just some I could think of off of the top of my head.
Stephen Baxter's Manifold Trilogy, though it isn't really a trilogy, just three answers to the Drake Paradox, may be a good place to start. The type of science fiction you seem interested in, based on science, is called hard science fiction. Doing a Google search for that term may help you find more. It's good to see someone is still reading this stuff. Enjoy.
