Solar Monitoring System

Marlene Said:

How can we create oxygen in Mars' atmosphere?

We Answered:

We could plant a lot of vegetation that would breath up the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and turn it into oxygen. It would be hard to do this though cause you would need a lot of water, and air pressure to keep the water from evaporating. Basically, you would need to build many pressurized green houses for this vegetation.

Marlene Said:

The team monitoring a space probe exploring the outer solar system finds that radio transmissions from the?

We Answered:

this is a variant of the distance/speed/time problem

distance = speed x time

in this case, the speed is the speed of light, or 3x10^8m/s
time = 4.92 hours = 4.92 hours x 3600sec/hour = 17,712 s

distance =3x10^8m/s x 1.77x10^4s=5.3x10^12 m

this is a distance approximately equivalent to 35.5 times the distance between the sun and earth; this space probe is somewhere between the orbits of Neptune and Pluto

Cheryl Said:

Can you answer these questions about the solar system please..?

We Answered:

Homework is for you to do in order to learn. Asking on Yahoo Answers defeats the purpose and in the end only hurts you. Do your own homework.

Richard Said:

If you could travel to any planet in our Solar System?

We Answered:

I would travel to the Sun. With no temperature barriers, imagine being like 10 centimeters away from it? Must be really cool. I would then go deep into the sun and see what is inside it!!

Billie Said:

UK If when the sun explodes and destroys the solar system what do you think would be the Legacy of humanity ?

We Answered:

OK if the sun explodes and the solar system is destroyed, all the trash you mentioned would have been burnt to cinders.
And small objects like those could not escape earth's gravity in the first place.
As well an explosion of the sun can not 'destroy' anything. Matter can not be destroyed.
It could be converted into energy, but it could not be destroyed.
But rest easy. The sun is not going to explode any time soon
