First let's sort out a couple of things

You replaced a heating system and installed a solar panel. I assume the solar panel was photoelectric. If so, in my case (in California) my system is tied to the utility grid. When I generate more than I am using, the surplus goes back into the grid. When I use more than I am generating, it comes back. I would hope yours does the same.

You say you had "a solar panel" fitted. I hope is is more than one. A single large solar panel will put out between 100 and 150 watts. This is not large enough to reduce your electric bell by much. My system puts out more than 3000 watts.

What are you doing with the power from the panel? It will help to know.

I don't know much about your heating and boiler system. how does it make heat? Gas? Electricity.
