You could point out that continually searching the solar system led to many important discoveries - and that these discoveries didn't all happen at once, but happened as a result of centuries of scanning the skies - and therefore there's no reason to stop now.

We Answered:

It would be easier for him to understand and remember them if they were in a row, starting with the Planet closest from the sun.
But if it's just decorative, it would be alot better if they were in a circle, but still, in order.
