Google Solar System

Morris Said:

Is there such thing as a "google earth" for the solar system?

We Answered:

Yea its an option in google earth itself. Go to the location you will be at at night and then click go to solar view and you can select the time for the area and the constellations will move. I also believe it is real time so if you put in your home address at 10pm it will show you what and where in the sky. Cool Stuff

Derrick Said:

Is there a program like Google Earth that will let me see other planets in the solar system?

We Answered:

Celestia is pretty good but takes a little while to get used to it. There are downloads for planets etc to show off imagery that has been taken.

And the second link.

Edit. And there us Worldwide Telescope, google it.

Google Earth also Solar system?

We Answered:

You will need to download the "Google Earth" application. Its completely free and rather nifty. one of the features of Google earth is you can look "up" at the sky and see star patterns. Then zoom toward them. or away. It offers detailed information of each star.
Get it here: http://earth.google.com/
After you install Google Earth and run it. You can can get to the star mode here: Click view>>"Switch to Sky"

Hope that helps,

What is the largest planet in the solar system...?

We Answered:

Laziness, and the inexplicable willingness of the learned to explain often simple concepts when perhaps more difficult questions worthy of our time are floating around in here. I think it's to get in there before the morons who give the most idiotic and plainly wrong answers. Damage control, basically.

And because the book is an archaic and apparently defunct form of knowledge repository that today's generation wouldn't be seen dead using for actual research purposes.

Jupiter.

Where was this picture from the show, "Wonders of the solar system" taken from: http://www.google.com/imgres?i?

We Answered:

You are jist joking.
I entered "wonders of the solar system" but there are only few images regarding the solar system.
But they are rare.

thanks for the time pass and 2 pts.

Jimmie Said:

do you know any programs which show me solar system?

We Answered:

Stellarium - it is used in schools and also in planetariums around the world. Very good stuff

Oh, it is also aboslutely free. You can pull up the constelations with pictures, you can enter your location and it will show you the stars from that point and name them all etc.

Brad Said:

how to see the solar system in google earth?

We Answered:

Google sky is the closest program to the one you suggested that can do this. Celestia is better by far.

Discuss It!
