Astronomy solar system formation?

We Answered:

A is not true.

Which astronomy is better/more interesting: Solar System Astronomy or Stellar Astronomy & Cosmology?

We Answered:

i would ask you to first take up Solar System astronomy and then go to stellar astronomy and cosmology....
solar system astronomy has some basics which are required in stellar astro and cosmo....
both are interesting and both are different aspects of studies. speaking from a researcher point of view u wont relate solar sytem with stellar astronomy so both are different....
but to understand stellar astro and cosmo better, u need to learn solar sytem astro for sure...

Walter Said:

Which is Easier? stellar astronomy or solar system astronomy?

We Answered:

i personally think solar system astronomy is way easier than stellar astronomy (well, it depends on you)
stellar astronomy is some kinds of astronomy you need to study stars hottness and coldness, what's made of, everything you need to remember and know. here is a web site that introduce the stellar... http://www.stellar-database.com/intro.ht…
solar astronomy is something you need to study the planet, moons and stuff that's inside of a solar system .. here is a web that introduce solar system astronomy http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr161/lect/…
this the best answer i got, good luck to you^_^

Joyce Said:

Difference between Solar System and Stellar Astronomy?

We Answered:

The classes on Solar system normally focus on a complete inventory of what's in solar systems -- the characteristics of each planets, their satellites, asteroids, comets, including their motion, tectonics, atmosphere etc. It is probably more descriptive than mathematical.

The classes on stellar evolution normally focus on the structure of stars, its mass and luminosity, chemical compositions, radiation transfer from core to atmosphere, its journey through protostar, to main sequence, to giants, to black holes/white dwarfs etc. Depending on its level, more math might be involved.

Larry Said:

For a "layperson" which astronomy is better/more interesting: Stellar Astronomy & Cosmology or Solar System?

We Answered:

Depends on your personal interest, really.

Solar system is easier to understand, less math, just let you know the cosmic neighborhood. (But it is also easier to learn it by reading on your own.)

Stars and Cosmology is certainly more important. It is about the world at large. More physics needed, more abstraction perhaps. But certainly worth it. I would do this one. But the other one is also no waste of time.

Enjoy it!

Ricky Said:

is astronomy/the solar system classed as part of natural history?

We Answered:

i would place it's formation into cosmology.
