[HOROLOGISTS AND SERIOUS PEOPLE ONLY PLEASE] Is there a watch that has ALL of the following features?

We Answered:

I doubt it. Sorry.

Charlotte Said:

backup to solar power?

We Answered:

You could add a battery in parallel with the solar panel, but only if the panel provides more power than the pump uses. Since it would be wasteful to use a bigger panel than the pump needed, they are probably pretty well matched. So you'd need to add another panel, probably a bit larger than the existing one [depending on how long you want it to run]. Simplest might be to get one of those solar powered lights for paths and remove the bulb and hook up the pump.

Get some light blocking blinds, and enjoy the bubblin and grubblin water...it's supposed to be soothing.

I need a good water resistant watch?

We Answered:

Most Casio watches are water resistant for at least 100-300 feet. You need to insure that you can push all the function buttons without the watch leaking. You can usually do this with most water resistant watches. You don't need to worry about either 330 or 660 foot resistant watches unless you are going to test them at depth.

If you are swimming or snorkeling, you will not need a watch that is rated 10 or 20 ATM (atmosphere or 14.7 psi). In most cases you will not get any deeper than 1 ATM in depth.

What do you think about buying a cave for conserving the environment or even for a home?

We Answered:

My grandfathers house is made with concrete and has 6 feet of dirt over the top except one side faceing south. He's lived in there when temps are below 0 or above 100 outside with no problems.
