solar power souce is used in remote location or where electricity is very poor. the system works like this: the solar panels drive in the current from the sunshine it then send it to an inverter which invert the dc voltage to ac. some applications uses the dc direct. otgher system uses battery to atore excess voltage in the day to be used at night but some application only required it for the day operation eg water storage.

2. cost-effective - solar energy does not cost money to physically produce, which is also segues to the negative that the technology is expensive up front, but pays for itself.
