There are two ways to increase traffic to your site:

1. Pay-per-click

This type of advertising allows you to set up an account and buy clicks by setting up a maximum amount you are willing to pay-per-click. An example of this would be using Google adwords or Yahoo search marketing.

Once you purchase clicks, you set your account up to appear when certain keywords are searched for. The ad will appear at the top or along the side of the search results, where it says "sponsored results." Each time someone clicks on your ad, it will cost you.

2. Increasing Your Organic Search Engine Placement

This refers to where your site places within the search engine results for keywords that relate to your business. There are several ways to increase your site's placement but I am only going to review the most important ones.

- The overall design of your website will impact the placement it receives within search engines. Web sites that are mostly flash or graphics and that contain very little text will not good placement because search engines cannot index this content. Sites with bad code also cannot be indexed.

- The content of your website should be interesting and original. It should contain the keywords that you want individuals to search for within search engines but not so many times it seems overused while being read by a human.

- Ones of the most important things that google bases their placements on is linkbacks. This means they check to see how many sites link back to your site. The sites that link back should be sites that are good quality and relevent to your site content and industry. Not only does this serve to get you good placement within search engines - you will be surprised to find when you analyze your web stats how many hits you get from these links.

On a side note, it's important to remember that SEO isn't everything because not all search terms are equal. If you don't know how to figure out what search terms to target (based on how many people are searching per month for those terms) then a lot of this information might not get you any results.

Big words with no way to back them up....California has signed contracts and if Arizona breaks them, they get boycotted AND sued.

None, for 1930 to 1990. There was an annular solar eclipse (81.9% obscuration) in LA on January 4th, 1992. It started as partial at 3:34 pm, and became annular at 4:50, just about 4 minutes before sunset.

Even the 1923 eclipse was a partial (99.3%) , not a true total eclipse. You would need to go back to May 22, 1724, for a total solar eclipse in LA.

Perhaps you mean a different Los Angeles than the one in southern California USA?
