Solar Charger/Power Source for Laptop - Any Advice?

We Answered:

Easy enough. Here is some products that are made just for what you are doing.

This one is about the size of a lap top and has a mutli plug in so you can charge your laptop and run it as well as charge a cell phone or most any electrionics items with it.

Then here is a couple of pages of foldable solar panels that has a 12 volt outlet so if you have a car plug for your laptop you can just plug it in to it.

I am going backpacking and need to find a camera that I can charge from a solar power charger I need help?

We Answered:

For backpacking, size and weight are everything. I would just take a small, slim, point-and-shoot camera. It will still take decent pictures, and will probably have zoom and video. Then, buy extra batteries and carry them with you. Make sure that all the batteries are charged before you leave, of course. I think you'll be surprised at how long a fresh battery lasts when fully charged. When we went on vacation in Hawaii for 3 weeks, we charged the camera batteries once in the middle, and that was it.

!!!!!HELP!!!!!would solar power chargers work well in Ireland?

We Answered:

I am planning in the future to have solar power but i live in Scotland and don't have a lot of sun which i am sure it will be the same in Ireland so along with the solar i will have a wind turbine not the huge ones the ones used for houses etc.

Also think about heating, why not change to a burner which uses bark and branches etc to heat the whole house. My friend owns a company which uses wood chippings and puts it in a burner, the smoke given off is not toxic because it only uses wood and wood only gives off what is made up off and uses. This burner is outside the house.
