Solar Power Au

Ivan Said:

Is the solar cell (PVA) useful for powering spacecraft beyond 2 AU?

We Answered:

It depends. 2 AU from the Sun there is only one quarter of the light energy to collect as there is at 1 AU. If you only have light power requirements that is a reasonable option. Most deep space probes going out past Mars tend to use radioisotope thermoelectric generators - these do not depend on the Sun to produce energy over a reasonable time span.

Vincent Said:

Solar-powered Bibles sent to Haiti?

We Answered:

I THOUGHT THEY FOLLOW VOODOO THERE, NOT CHRISTIANITY? OR IM PROBABLY WRONG?

Randy Said:

Are American Christians taking advantage of the Haitian people after the recent disaster to proselytize?

We Answered:

Haha, that's rich. A book is probably one of the few things that solar cells can draw enough energy to power. Seriously though, the Haitians have been exposed to Christianity, and, like everyone else, I'm sure they've made their choice yay or nay. I do kind of wonder if these solar bibles will be broadcasting in English...

Norma Said:

Can someone please explain how earthquake survivors in Haiti will benefit from solar-powered bibles?

We Answered:

"even on the moon!"

Sound waves now travel in near-perfect vacuum? Or is that special Bible magic?

Stupid religious boasting aside, these people don't need ancient fairy tales, they need food, shelter, medicine.

Jose Said:

So, what are the Haitians supposed to actually DO with those solar powered talking bibles?

We Answered:

Go figure, someone took the effort to build them. Probably for using in a situation like this. So, its all a matter of logistics, like you say. It doesnt bother me if the logistics are ok.

LMAO @ GFT, get your act together bro.
