You do not want to use 110 volt bulb as a converter would be needed and a conventional bulb is 90% wast through heat dissipation.Most alternate power sources are 12 volt which is what you want. So either a 12 volt flu recent or LED will do the job and a small battery would run them forever.Also the rating for a 40 watt bulb at 110 volt is almost 1/2 amp and an LED would use milliamps.No special wiring is needed for 12 volt as the panels will be 12 volt. All you do is hook the panel to the battery and the light to the battery
