It's expensive (the solar panels offcourse) and if there's no sunlight ther's no energy.=.= (except if you have large energy storage)

Benefits:
If you already have panels then i can say its pretty cost saving.
It lessens global warming, pollution etc. and i think its less hazardous or less accident possibility...
