Is the science just doublespeak? We Answered:
Science just observes analyzes and reports, it is by nature multi-speak. I believe AGW is a farce. There is not enough observable data to blame CO2.Tracy Said:
So there is a GOOD CHANCE with OIL we will all be startving or in a famine state in the future? We Answered:
Here's why we're not screwed. As soon as oil goes up above alternative fuel costs, there will be a HUGE movement to use up those alternative fuels.
The only reason oil has ruled is because it was so cheap. We didn't have any reason to look for something better and devote more research to better fuels.

So there is a GOOD CHANCE with OIL we will all be startving or in a famine state in the future? We Answered:
It is not solely the governments fault. Energy has been an issue since the 1973 oil embargo by OPEC. Once the price of oil went down it simply because a political line. "We will never again be dependent on forgine oil." However people didn't care since gas was cheap, and there for not a big deal. Which is human nature, we only care what is effecting. Watch the video below for a video on the history of every broken promise.A quick solution passed us by years ago. Oil will take a long time t drill offshore, if of course we ever can drill for it. Wind and Solar will NEVER power America since they both rely on unreliable sources. And the produce far to little energy to make a big difference. The only real solution is wind, solar, oil, nuclear, conservation and smart politics. The dropping of all the red flags around nuclear power.

Why don't we build Nuclear Power Plants? We Answered:
I'm completely on board and have been for a LONG time. Nuclear should be a major priority for us.1) Zero carbon footprint.
2) Unlike ANY other zero carbon power source, Nuclear is at least in the ballpark of fossil fuels in terms of cost.
3) The fuel tends to come from stable democratic countries as opposed to oil which supports unstable dictatorial countries.
4) Safety is a non-issue. Fewer deaths come from nuclear than any other power source. People discount that people die in coal-mining, oil drilling, plant accidents and so forth with fossil fuels. Further, modern reactor designs have changed such that in case of an emergency, the default state is for the control rods to automatically slam into place and stop the reaction. Old plants the rods have to be actively moved in.
5) Efficiency. Modern designs also are much more cookie cutter. The NRC has pre-approved certain designs to be re-used whereas the old plants were all custom jobs.
6) We are very close to the technology of reactors where we can actually get more and more energy out of the fuel. So much so that OLD toxic waste actually will be able to be re-used.
If you are worried about global warming, there is NO excuse not to be a fan of nuclear. It can be the bridge technology that fills our needs allowing us to mvoe away from carbon based technologies and still be productive while we wait for alternatives to become more efficient.

So there is a GOOD CHANCE with OIL we will all be startving or in a famine state in the future? We Answered:
Oil is carbon. Oil is old microscopic plants and animals from the carboniferis era heated and squashed over several millions of years. All of that material is carbon. To make plastic all you need is carbon. All living and formerly living things are carbon. Therefore, plastics can be made out of grass just as easily as oil. Not to worry...we ain't gonna' run out of plastic. That's not to say that some things won't change. Probably what will happen is that we'll be buying and using more locally made products, using rail travel more than air travel, recycling more and overall being a lot more thrifty. Not to worry...we're adults and more to the point we're Americans. Americans can do anything they set their minds too. We'll all get by by making the needed adjustments. We ain't gonna' freeze in the dark and the wheels will stay on the road. Everything is perfect! No kiddin'!
