The best thing to do is use less power, first get your power use down, 200 kw a month is a goal to reach. You new a new refrigerator (sunfrost). You need LED lights. You need to replace all your outlets with switchable type, when not in use, switch it off. Any thing that has a remote uses power when not in use.
The use of net metering means that you can make all your energy needs. Start small, say 5 panels and inverter for about $10k. Then add on as more $$$$$ are available.
