Alicia Said:

Why no honest reviews of solar4home?

We Answered:

hey, you can create a website and have it say anything you like.

i was amazed by the one that said their system created 120 watts.

and i'm absolutely sure that lots of folks confused that with 120 volts.
fortunately for scammers, there are lots of idiots waiting to be taken advantage of.
that's why all those rich relatives keep getting bopped off in Nigeria.

Engineering problems are of course numerous in green energy, like using unused offshore platforms for?

We Answered:

I'll say YES, as long as you make me the Senior VP of Engineering, Grand Poo-bah , Level 3. I'll also need a 7 figure income, a private Boeing C-17, backdated stock options for AAPL, GS, GOOG, & RIO, an Escalade with 22' spiners, bling bling off eBaY, an Elvis suit, and a 500 million dollar golden parachute (like toasty-face Mozillo's CFC special) in case I screw up and the board fires me! Oh poopy!!!

Can I upgrade the Electric Motor in my Nikko '02 Nissan Skyline R34 RC car?

We Answered:

Putting a 24V battery will not fry the motor but may fry the ESC (Electronic Speed Controller). If you upgrade the motor, you will also need to upgrade the ESC however, I suspect this car is not rc hobby grade but more of a decent toy rc car - the electronics will be mostly Integrated and not in component form like the proper rc cars.
Inquire at your local rc car club and have a look at what they run - if you are serious, just go to your local hobby shop and get an affordable chassis and look for the Nissan Skyline R34 polycarbonate body and put on.

Eco House Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

We Answered:

This web site (http://dailyhomerenotips.com/energy-cons… has all kinds of ideas for energy conservation and water conservation in the home, literally hundreds of them.

Some of the items in indicates which you did not mention for your eco home includes LED light bulbs (vs CFL's which contain Mercury and are not as energy efficient nor long lasting), exterior solar screens on the windows, programmable thermostat, space heaters in rooms when only that room is used for hours at a time (vs heating the entire house), solar charged lawn mower, and much more.

I hope that helps,
Dan

I have a radio that takes 4.5v adapter. Why is a 4.5v adapter so hard to find?

We Answered:

Without seeing the power connector, I would guess that it is a regular "barrel connector". These come in different sizes, so you need to measure the outer diameter of the socket, and then measure the diameter of the inner central pin (which is usually the positive connector) - then it should be relatively straightforward for you to go to Radio Shack (or look on Ebay) and find a suitable adaptor.

I just found plenty on Ebay, using this search string

4.5 volt adapter

likewise I found a solar charger on ebay with several connector options - Item number: 110445775595

PS - here is a link to the website of the inventor of your radio - British innit!
