I think I should mention to you that this might not be absolutely realistic because a company such as Wal-Mart doesn't let their stores make large individual decisions as they are very much corporately run. Aside from that I think I have some ideas:

-Opening their own automotive service center (I know some Wal-Marts already do this)
-Opening up a store restaurant (I know Wal-Mart already does McDonalds, but you could research the project of a store specific restaurant)
-Opening up a liqueur service/liqueur store.
-Opening up their own gas bar.
-Staying open 24 hours
-Their own in store doctor service or pharmacy or something.


This is actually kinda difficult because these companies are so big and think of these things all the time, so coming up with something different that works is really hard.

Choose a very simple company, you are selling slippers made in china. at the kiosk in the mall.

you have to pay for rent, you have to arrange shipping, you have to package.

Your working capital, is the amount of slippers you sell until you get your next shipment of
slippers, say 2 weeks.
So slippers sell for $20, they cost you $6, you have pay $.50 in taxes.
you do not pay your self, so the fixed costs are rent, and the cost of the slippers
say the rent is $1000 a month.

Work from there. Simple works.
