If you live in the US you get Federal rebate as well as tax credit. However, the cost is still enormous if you are going to pay a company to install it for you.

First you can look at grants.gov. But that website can be somewhat overwhelming.

There are some here: http://www.americanhumane.org/protecting… from the Humane Society. Petco also gives out money too.

There are government grant program kits that have a free trial and you can see if they have anything that might help you (http://findfreegrantmoney.com). Just be sure to cancel before the trial is up.

Other than that there are other people like zootoo.com who gives out contest money. You might also want to ask other shelters in your area if they know of any money available.

probably doesn't cover the whole cost so you might want to think of it as a discount. if it does pay for the whole thing then the downfall is the maintenance cost but that shouldn't be as much as it'll save you in energy cost
