Solar House Panels

Norman Said:

Is it worth the cash to have solar panels installed in our house?

We Answered:

If your power company will pay for your extra power you feed back into the grid maybe you can make it work. maybe you can be a micro utility

I want to put solar panels on my house?

We Answered:

To be honest with you... and if you are an opportunist, I would maybe look into something just like this (hint... a huge corporation called Citizenr? is being developed to deal with some of the country's energy demand, and the way it works, in short ...for a deposit, you can add solar to the grid by putting state of the art panels on your home at the solar utility company's expense, that is provided and installed at the company's expense. If you use less energy than you generate, it goes back to the grid an you get money back, you help others, you reduce oil dependency and you ultimately save money)...

Please check it out... I don't work for them but I have researched this because it is something I'm thinking about as well... (and this link provides an intersting perspective on it but will lead you to their official site)...Citizenr?

I want to quickly add; I'm willing to bet, this is where things will be going once Citizenr? launches, ...something to think about.

Regardless whether you decide to get panels on your own now, or invest in the solar power utility company concept, either way, you're doing a very good thing.

solar panels on a new house?

We Answered:

they supply power to your home, there a great investment in the long run and you don't have to pay the prices the city charges.

Perry Said:

If I wanted to install solar panels on my house, are there any grants or subsidies in Canada to help me?

We Answered:

I have had solar panels for years and they still work great.

If your electric bill was 100 dollars a month, a solar electric system last about 30 years so 100 times 30 = 36000 dollars. So you can break even without incentives. Plus you don't pay taxes on your home made electric or franchise taxes or any other fee on what you produce. Sale your home add 20% to the cost of the install and make a profit and have free electric for the last so many years.

So the incentives are already built in even without help from outside. There are some links on this page that can help prove solar pays off. And there is a link to a site that shows you what the incentives are in your state. http://www.oynot.com/how-solar.html
