How hot do you have to heat it? A coiled black plastic tube filled with water will circulate the water on it's own. The heated water will expand and rise in the coils, and the cooler water will fall in the coils, once the action starts, it will flow on it's own.

It will take a lot of coiled tube to heat the water to a noticeable degree and make it circulate on it's own.

Try getting enough black tube to hold 4 liters of water, coil it and fill it with water, and connect the ends together. Take it apart at the end of 1 and half hours, and you will find the water temperature has gone up.

Or you can place both ends in a plastic milk jug if you are allowed to use one, and the water will circulate out of the jug, be heated by the black tube and sun, and then circulate back into the jug. You will have to place one end of the tube at the bottom of the jug and the other end at the top of the jug and the coiled pipe would need to be laying flat at the save level as the top fo the jug for it to circulate

Most likely no. Solar hot water heaters require installing a heat exchanger in the attic space of your home... most apartment complex will not allow you to do this.

Check if Western Australia offers a rebate for putting in hot water.

Check the price charged by various provides less the rebates if available.

That is the cost of your solar hot water system.

TIP: Be careful as they vary in size and quality. If applying for a government rebate you are supposed to get three quotes and also the installer is supposed to come to your residence to give the quote.
