Imagine you bought a computer several years ago and want to sell it now. Technology has improved and helped to make your old equipment lose quite a bit of it's value.

Solar panel technology is also advancing. Newer evacuated tube thermal solar panels will work on cloudy days and cold months. Older flat panels have less value as a result.

There is always a market for used equipment however. Sometimes you just have to find it. An auction will help to determine the value. Ebay may help you determine value or if you sell them in an ebay auction then it will help to determine fair market value. See below for quotes:
