Solar Patio Lighting

Andrea Said:

I'm looking for a dealer in Michigan that carries 4" X 8" brick paver solar lights for my backyard patio

We Answered:

Try Google or Yahoo. (cksq)

Frances Said:

I'm looking for a solar charger for low voltage patio lights.?

We Answered:

This is going to be tough--because solar chargers are rated by their voltage and wattage potentials. Your system has certain voltage and wattage requirements, and unless you meet them exactly, it won't work. I would order the one that comes with your unit. Try ebay's "Want It Now" feature.

Pauline Said:

What kind of lights would be best for a patio umbrella-electric, battery, or solar?

We Answered:

go electric. solar too dim, batteries don't last. I found a good kit that ties to the ribs.

Justin Said:

Does anybody use solar lights for their barn?

We Answered:

The self-contained lights aren't worth much in your situation.

If you can cover the roof in solar panels, (and don't have many trees blocking the sun), you might be able to store up enough electricity in batteries to provide you with decent light for a few hours after sunset. But such an installation is expensive.

On the other hand, a solar system could be built entirely with low voltage (12 Volts) equipment, which is a great safety feature in a barn.

Vicki Said:

On those solar patio brick lights, where do you get the replacement batteries?

We Answered:

Radio shack or most stores like Walmart. One thing though I would up grade to a higher mAH battery.1000 or 1800 would help to keep them burning all night longer. For my camera I use 2700mAh batts. Not more volts but the have more staying power. You get what I mean. Also all camera shops carry them. But cheaper at radio shack or if you have a shop in town that sells only all sorts of batteries, they are usually cheaper
