Almost any other use would be better for solar power than runway lights. At airports with paved runways and instrument approach, lighting systems have to become very bright so pilots can see them through fog or driving rain. Accumulating enough power in batteries to be sure to never run out even after days of overcast and run the lights at high intensity is not well situated for solar systems.

We Answered:

It's possible the batteries are not being charged sufficiently. Make sure you follow the directions you got with the lights. I know mine had to be charged for a certain amount of time before they would hold a good charge. Make sure you have removed any plastic filament that may be on the panels.
It may be blocking some of the suns rays. Just a guess. Things I'd look for.
