Global warming has nothing to do with this. The sky is already darkened even before Jesus arrives. Trumpets 1-4 in Rev. 8 shows large swaths of the earth burned by fire followed by the light of the sun, moon, and stars being diminished by one third. The reason their lights are diminished is because of all the fire in trumpets 1 & 2. Trumpet 1 shows a third of the earth's land mass destroyed by fire. That produces smoke which will in turn reduce the light of the sun, moon, and stars.

When Matt. 24 and Mark 13 record that immediately after the tribulation these bodies would be darkened, they were already darkened beforehand. The verses are just stating the state of these lights when Christ returns. This darkening of these lights are a sign of Christ's soon return.

Luke 21:25-27, "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."

I believe the cloud Jesus returns in is the smoke cloud that is blocking the lights of the sky, and is acting as a sign of Christ's soon return.

i have heard many theories from documentaries and other people who have read somewhere about such. i heard from somewhere that there was an appearance on tv of a tape or somethink that withheld information that was not to be released to the public. it was a small documentary of how there are alien species (aliens might not always be green or silver with big eyes) but they looked much like us humans and were living among our planet, one lady lived next door to one of these alien beings and showed her a complete map of galaxies we'd not found etc and she showed nassa and im not sure what happened there on. but one thing i do remember was that they thought we were incredably unintellegent for blowing up neclear bombs in out own solar system and remind us how lucky we were to inhabit earth blah blah blah. thats all that i remember.
