Shed Solar Lighting

Andrea Said:

Wow. Just wow... Solar's baby mama sheds some light on Solar/Guru...?

We Answered:

With all of the wisdom Guru possessed, I'm surprised he let that snake get into his head like that. It's not like they even knew each other for a long time, and their relationship sounded worse than anything he went through with his label or Premier, so I don't understand why he would let Solar, of all people, run his life.

Guru had to know Solar wasn't looking after his best interests after he f*cked him up and then left him in the apartment while he was having an asthma attack, and possibly a heart attack, without getting him any medical attention. I'm not surprised people think they were gay, because Solar sounded like a typical jealous boyfriend, and he was treating Guru like a battered wife. Beating him up, belittling him, not letting him see his family or friends, checking his email, etc. That was one twisted friendship. My heart goes out to Guru. He must have been in really bad shape when they first met to let Solar manipulate him like that.

Kevin Said:

What do you associate with the boat?

We Answered:

I associate the boat with its appearance and function as a sailing vessel, often as an open one. Often it brings in a bounty of goods, or else it exports materials to other places where they are needed. As well, it transports people and carries messages. It carries with it the prospect of adventure.

On a metaphorical level, my associations with the boat are similar to the literal ones. I often think of phrases that contain the word "boat", one example being "to be in the same boat", or, in other words, the same predicament as someone else. Another expression that comes to mind is "to rock the boat", or to disturb the equilibrium of a situation. The notion of "missing the boat", or an opportunity, is a lingering fear that I harbour. When I think of the boat, I also think of an expression that involves its synonym, "ship". Somehow, the saying that someone's ship is coming in sounds optimistic and comforting.

I associate the boat with related words such as harbour, haven, port, lighthouse, beacon, sail and anchor on both literal and figurative levels.

Elsie Said:

Astronomy question. Can any astronomers out there shed some light?

We Answered:

1.5 solar units would be 1 & 1/2 times the luminosity of the sun.

could the milky way be a victim of two galaxies colliding?

We Answered:

Interesting!

There are many factors why and how open clusters are born. By that time, the Milky Way may have collided with another galaxy which induced star formation. It doesn't need another galaxy colliding with our own to induce star formation. Even an infalling molecular hydrogen cloud colliding with the arms can. The odd Orion Spur where the Sun resides may be a product of such collision. The trailing arms can themselves induce star formation. Star formation itself can induce another star formation specially when rapidly dying massive stars erode nearby giant molecular clouds just as what they believe happened to the sun. The Sun has an even interesting history. Two massive stars exploded at different times before and during its early birthing.

The Milky Way itself may be a product of hundreds of galactic collisions. Its dymanic duo has passed satellite galaxies like basketball when they were still realatively near wrt each other. The Milky Way is in the process of devouring two galaxies. One is the highly distorted Sagittarius Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy and one is the dissolved Virgo Stellar Stream.

Your hunch may be correct after all.
