Lights For Garden

Allison Said:

Electricity scheme to install garden lights on net.?

We Answered:

It is not advisable to wire a net in outside due to insulation problems.
The safest way to do it is to install outdoor waterproof sockets and plug the lights into them. Making sure they are on an RCD.
If you are running cables outside though - you will need to use armoured cable.

How many hours does solar garden lights for light in order for them to come on at night??

We Answered:

I wouldn't worry too much since you said you have not had much sun.

I copied this from a website...thought you might be interested to know.

The problem with solar garden lights is that they tend to have only a small area of solar cells and a relatively modest battery capacity. The consequences of these shortcomings are that solar garden lights have a reputation for emitting a small amount of light for a short period of time.

Fred Said:

please recommend a set of durable outdoor garden lights?

We Answered:

Years ago I had Toro brand and they worked great, then I switched to solar, and I have been through sets almost once a year.

I am going back to Toro and not using solar.
Solar have some nice designs, but do not last long. It seems that the solar panel always turn cloudy and then it's trash.

Toro is my suggestion. They can be found at any local home improvement and most stores like, Target, Walmart, etc.
