Garden Lights Solar

Katrina Said:

How to kill wasps that've built a nest INSIDE my sealed solar garden lights?

We Answered:

You will need to search well and find the point of entry. The wasps typically don't make a lot of effort to find their home. There is a hole or vent in the light the wasp is going in. If you can find it and spraying in it doesn't work, try tying a plastic bag around it. This should suffocate them. Just have can of wasp spray available in case their friends come to visit them when you are trying to kill them.

Neil Said:

Why are some of my solar garden lights on all day and off all night?

We Answered:

Hi
its simple really the Rechargeable batteries are no good so the only time the lights are on is when they have power from the power light cells during day light hours.
replace the re-chargeable batteries then they will be charged up in the daytime and discharge at night.,

Charlotte Said:

Who here actually owns solar garden lights - any pictures of your own in use/reviews?

We Answered:

Yep, I do. I've found the plastic ones are pretty much junk. The metal ones last much longer. They must get sun most of the day for them to stay lit all night. There is one kind that comes with wires and a separate collector so your lights can be placed in the shade and the collector stays in the sun all day.
It's the old adage You get what you pay for.

What are the different types of solar garden lights available in the market?

We Answered:

yeah i want to add one more ie SolarMax Metal halide Conversion Bulb: A conversion bulb lets you customize the light source to the growth stage of the plant merely by changing bulbs..

Jennie Said:

What can I do with the top of solar lights (spikes have been broken by the children) in my garden?

We Answered:

Be creative and turn them into hanging solar lights, my dogs did the same thing . I purchased some plastic "jelly jars" outside lamp covers. Then placed the top over them, attached a wire hanger and now they hang from the trees. The dogs can't get to them and it scatters low light through the yard. Maybe you could reuse them that way.
