Not nearly enough to justify the cost of installing it, unless you can get some really fat subsidies. A solar system costs about $10 per watt of installed capacity, and a system can generate at most 2 kWh of electricity per installed watt per year, which is worth somewhere around 25 cents. I have a friend who installed one; the list price was $13,000 but subsidies cut the net cost down to $5,000. The system generates about $300 worth of electricity a year.
