Albedo is indeed a dimensionless number - it's energy out divided by energy in. It doesn't matter to the calculation what happens to the energy that stays with the planet.
Energy absorbed can show up as immediately or it can be bound in a chemical reaction, as in photosynthesis. When chemically bound, the energy is not detectable as heat, it will only show up that way if the chemical reaction is reversed - as in burning or metabolism.
About 1-2% of the light hitting a cornfield gets used photosynthetically to turn CO2 into biomass. That 1-2% of the light energy won't show up as heat until the biomass is used for fuel or food. Meanwhile, the biomass came from sequestering atmospheric CO2, which is no longer in the atmosphere being a greenhouse gas until the biomass gets used. The albedo will be temporarily decreased.
The heat simply absorbed by a mass, however, remains heat. It is making a direct contribution to global warming whether it is absorbed by a parking lot or a tree.
The Hadley Center, mentioned in the reference, has done some studies relating to the effects of photosynthetic use vs absorption, including the carbon sequestration effects.

Edit. Our eyes are not well-suited to determining how much we've changed the reflectivity/texture of a surface when viewed from satellite distances. To change the picture of the earth so that you can see how we've changed it, look at the nighttime pictures.

First of all, remember the words in large letters on the cover of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: DON'T PANIC!

Nothing unusual is going on.

Jupiter is Jupiter, not "Planet X": there is no "Planet X." Jupiter is just travelling around in its orbit, just as it has for billions of years, except that some smart guy has figured out that it will be a few centimetres closer Monday night than it has been for 50 years. It won't look or act any different.

"2012" is a hoax designed to scare children and adults who know nothing about science. There is no science behind it, and no scientists believe in it.

The world has existed for over four billion years. Is it reasonable to expect that it will come to an end in less than three years? And all because of a Mayan calendar? Use some common sense.

The most interesting astronomical events in 2012 will be an annular eclipse of the Sun on 2012 May 20, a total eclipse of the Sun on 2012 Nov 13, and a transit of the planet Venus across the face of the Sun on 2012 Jun 06.

Scientists don't expect anything out of the ordinary to happen in the year 2012, or specifically on the date December 21, except for the solstice, which happens every year.

None of the "predicted" happenings for 2012 hold up under close scrutiny. "Planet X" and "Nibiru" simply don't exist. The Mayan calendar ends a cycle, but there were no predictions of the end of the world. The Sun doesn't line up with the galactic centre; it's 6 degrees off. No asteroids or comets are actually predicted to hit Earth.

All of this stuff was put together by crackpots in order to promote their books and TV shows, and shamelessly promoted by the History Channel. Don't take any of it seriously!

The best way is to _inform yourself_ about 2012 by reading factual sites about it, rather than sites that are trying to sell you something. Here are a few:

Sounds like a decent concept to me. This is just an outline, right? I assume in the real story, you would unfold the storyline in a more tantalizing manner.

I'm assuming the Badowski is just a placeholder for your final name. It sounds melodramatic and comical for a dictator, like Dr. Evil or Darth Vader.
