1) as you approach the speed of light, time slows down for you. At a constant acceleration of 1g, you start seeing significant time distortions after about 6 months. after a few years on board, several hundred or thousand years may have passed on the planet you left behind.

1a) Kepler 11 is NOT the closest system. based on the stellar density within 50 light years of earth, by projecting the frequency of earth size planets detected by the kepler mission to date, we can state within reasonable probability that a minimum of 2 earth sized planets should occur within the habitable zone of their parent stars within 23 light years from earth. Assuming earth is one of them, the other could be as close as alpha centauri B or as far away as 40 light years.

2) I've seen objects flying in the sky i couldn't identify too.

3) We have the technology to travel these distances, within a human lifetime. it is not inconceivable that others would as well. a vasimr engine in a snow-cone dugout would do the trick. (a snow-cone dugout is a hollowed out asteroid fitted with an engine that uses electrolytically separated hydrogen, deuterium and tritium from a comet as fuel.)

4) Wormholes have been proven to exist in laboratories. It has been theorized that this is the reason for quantum tunneling and why subatomic particles appear and disappear. the artificial creation of a wormhole large enough for a person or a space ship to travel through is far beyond current human technology...but we ARE an awful clever species....
