For some applications yes.

To what extent is a function of what the equipment costs. The cheaper those solar photovoltaic panels can be made for example, the more applications they will be suited for.

Attempts are being made to improve the situation, and some interesting innovations where solar panels are concerned have been recently in the news.

Not too sure about the fees. Perhaps a concept based on grass roots would be a better network.
Those who can afford to maintain their currant life styles, despite the economy will. Those who can not, will make cuts in their life styles. It is those in between, who are wise enough to know that actual and factual, independence from electric company monopolies, fuel demands and rising costs, plus the economy in the gutter, that you would have the best luck to reach.
I would do it. I did it for a county agency, cleaning up other people's messes. And promoting a greener life style to children through their schools, scouts and churches.
Maybe, a straight purchase or a donation could be done instead of a finder's fee. Instead of things that will end up in a land fill, maybe something like the bags they sell at local stores for your groceries, or recycling bags...

You could use solar power, but what will you do at nights?
Besides that:" you'd need quite a few square feet before you'd actually have enough solar screens that will cover all your needs.
But setting up some solar energy cells can never harm, in contrary so: they will help bringing down your electricity bill (and with the prices expected to rise over the next decade, the returns will only get better!). Simply hook the solar power supplies up to a regular outlet (I have done that here). That way, even when my computers are off the power generated from the solar screens is given to the rest of the house (cause my fridge needs electricity too, as does my heating system, etcetera)...

I am truly sorry my friend but without those billions of Duty-free American dollars pouring in Israel every year, we are talking about a 3 rd world country that cannot put off a simple forest fire that burned almost 25% of the tree line in one swoop.
We all know who is behind this publicity crusade and believe me no one around here likes it at all.
