Yes David Florida is great for solar.

It is expensive but there is a payback; however, most people want instant gratification and they won't get it fast enough with solar.

I look ahead. Will rates stay the same for electricity 5 or 10 years from now. Best Guess is NO.
They will certainly rise.

I have had solar for less than 2 years now & I enjoy watching the meter run backwards during the day. This means I am sending more KWH then I am using. During the colder months my net bill is -0- and the company owes me a few KWH next month. During the hottest period my bills are reduced by about 75%. I keep the house reasonably cool in summer (about 73 degrees).

I would not think of installing solar in Pennsylvania nor would I think about installing wind power in Florida. Solar in Florida is a good investment.
