The Cost Of Solar Energy

Isaac Said:

how will solar energy change over the next 2-10 years?

We Answered:

Actually solar panels will go down drastically in the next few years.
what make solar panels so expensive is the placement of solar cell, while nanosolar is printing the cells on thin film, and although they are selling commercially right now, they are planning on going domestic in the near future.

Marc Said:

What would be the cost factor of using solar energy?

We Answered:

The cost of the panels is expensive. The advantage to that is that it gives you a tax credit and mortgage deductions. Therefore, the mortgage on your house pays for itself once you get a solar panel on the roof.

Louise Said:

efficiencey of a solar energy, system involve in solar energy & the cost involve in solar energy.?

We Answered:

Where I live many people have solar systems because no electricity. System includes solar panels, Batteries, Generator, and electronic controllers / chargers. Cost for an average house is about $20,000 - $30,000. System will most days provide for an average house electrical, but not heat or cooling unless you add an expensive ammonia air conditioning system. Must run generator on cloudy days and be careful with all electrical use.

If you have power and your electrical company allows, you can just have solar panels and controllers and supplement your system and cut you usage of electrical company. Can save money, but payback is very long.

Bottom line is solar works, but not cost-effective in most areas. Only cost-effective where sun shines most of the time. There are some good sites on the net that explain.
