Solar Renewable Energy

Ralph Said:

¿ Is solar energy a renewable resource ?

We Answered:

Sure,it is.

The sun has always been a source of heat energy and light energy. With the advancement of technology, the sun’s energy can be used to create other forms of energy.

The solar energy systems have many advantages apart from being cost-effective and environment-friendly. They are low on maintenance thus saving your time and effort. Also, solar systems give you a return on investment very soon, thus making the systems free after some time. Cooking with solar energy is also considered extremely healthy. Families have started employing solar energy as a power solution at their homes.

Jon Said:

why is solar energy renewable?

We Answered:

Because we can't use up sunlight. It may technically not be an infinite resource, but we will have it until the sun burns out, when that happens generating electricity will be the least of our worries.

Angela Said:

are wind power and solar energy renewable or non renewable?

We Answered:

Continually renewed, the same should be said for hydro. They are an important part of our global energy balance:

as one example of how the energy earth receives from the sun gets used.

Joshua Said:

is solar energy renewable, nonrenewable,or inexhaustible?

We Answered:

theorically it is exhaustible with the lifespan of 3 billion years :), it's nonrenewable after 3 billion years pass.

but practically it is inexhaustible when compared to human lifespan

Larry Said:

is solar energy renewable ?

We Answered:

MRZ_OREO,
In simple terms, no, solar energy is not renewable. When a resource is classified as renewable, it means that resource can be used and replaced. Trees, for instance are renewable. After harvesting an area of forest, the trees can be replanted, thus "renewed". Solar and wind power are wrongly listed as renewable, when they are actually inexhaustible, or unlimited in their duration. Yes, there will be changes in the amount of sunlight from day to day and changes in wind patterns, but overall both are considered to be unlimited.

Hope this helps.
