Solar Energy Statistics

Nora Said:

how much energy is conserved through solar energy?

We Answered:

Honestly, there is no concrete number.

Thing is, solar energy is a component of the technology industry. Anybody could tell you that the tech industry is constantly changing and modifications are constantly being made on preexisting technology. As a result, solar panels are always becoming more efficient.

Sarah Said:

energy and the sun?

We Answered:

Cosmic Energy and Photonic energy

Fusion reaction

the solar atmosphere of the sun is extremely hot but a bit cooler than the surface of the sun

Jeff Said:

Anti-Solar Energy...?

We Answered:

Their production is quite toxic. It's also delusional to think that they work well enough to replace the reliable forms of power that we have.

Edit..

Love the rectal-sourced numbers used below. They make me laugh.

Melanie Said:

what r sum statistics on/for solar power energy?

We Answered:

The question wasn't very specific, so I'll do my best to answer it in general terms.

It would cost between $20,000 and $40,000 to equip the average American home with solar panels. A watt of energy will cost you about $4.

Wikipedia has a good article on this that talks about how solar panels are getting cheaper (and given that oil is getting more expensive, solar panels may soon be competitive with oil). You should find anything that you need in there.

If you have any more specific questions, email me. I should be able to answer most anything about solar panels, energy, etc.

Reginald Said:

If we end up building a base on moon, what do you think will be a, if any, beneficial side effect for mankind?

We Answered:

The cost of transportation to the moon is the major issue. If the solar cells were made on earth and transported then the project would be prohibitively expensive.

If the lunar site could manufacture the solar cells required, then the project would seem feasible. The energy required for the initial lunar base could come from nuclear driven generators. There is no environmental issues with this and in fact the cooling towers (built in the partial shade) would be enhanced over any such generator on earth.

In the long run, several separate bases could allow for experiments with toxic materials or genetic innovations to be preformed with no threat to the earth's environment.

What could the outline be for a 5 paragraph essay on Solar energy?

We Answered:

Paragraph #1: Introduce solar energy and tell us what it is. Then tell us what the main idea of your essay is going to be. For example, are you discussing the pros and cons? The sources/installation of solar energy? Hit three points, like a couplees pros and con (or vise versa), three sources of solar energy, three ways it is used.

Paragraphs #2-4: Use each paragraph to discuss one of those points. Don't worry about any other point during each paragraph. Begin each paragraph with a catchy line about the point. DO NOT just say "Then there is <insert point>." Here's a better example: "A downside to solar energy is high installation costs." Then you can begin telling about the installation costs.

Paragraph #5: Wrap up and summarize. If this is a persuasive essay, throw in your opinion here. Draw a conclusion. Where does solar energy lie in the cost/benefit analysis? Where does solar energy come from? Do not bring in any terribly new information here.

Any data you have, USE IT! Teachers like numbers and evidence. Put it in the appropriate paragraph, not in the conclusion.

Discuss It!
