Solar Energy Pdf

Claude Said:

How many jobs could the U.S. create in 4 years by investing heavily in solar and wind energy alternatives?

We Answered:

I would prefer they invest in Nuclear Power. It is more reliable, works in all climate areas, less environmental impact area, and cheaper power.

Nothing wrong with Solar and Wind, they are just not as cost effective and efficient.

Leon Said:

Is it time to re-visit the exorbitant taxpayer subsidies given to so-called 'green' energy?

We Answered:

In some cases, yes...most especially relating to the debacle of ethanol and biofuels. That said, I'm a bit more open to subsidies for solar power, at least in the short term.

There's a long history of the US government using "seed money," as it were, to get particular industries off the ground, especially those relating to infrastructure.

That said, I'm a fairly big opponent to most corporate welfare. I'll put up with a boost to get a needed industry started, but after that it's time to sink or swim.

Jared Said:

Why are wind and solar industries receiving 55 times more government subsidies than petroleum energy industry?

We Answered:

Why? Because wind and solar currently require subsidies to be competitive with coal and natural gas.

If at some point in the near future, wind and solar can become competitive without subsidies, they will gradually become a larger fraction of our electrical generating capacity.

If wind and solar can't become competitive, the subsidies will eventually become a sort of economic Ponzi scheme.

Deanna Said:

have any one heard of a book called Dead Mans Secret.?

We Answered:

no i havent but it seems really interesting! :) ty for sharing :)

Roberta Said:

Ever wonder why our energy costs are skyrocketing?

We Answered:

Energy costs in the UK and Europe have rocketed up as we see more wind mills around the countryside. Now I know of some people that are petitioning their governments for the right to buy locally extracted coal again so that they can heat their homes for a fraction of the cost of regulated gas and electricity.

Cheap coal is almost everywhere beneath our feet and should be used freely! I don't want our grandchildren to freeze in another winter like the one we just had because they cant afford to keep themselves warm!

Discuss It!
