Solar Energy Models

Doris Said:

I Am Making A Project On Solar Energy.(Model, not prototype.)?

We Answered:

That depends on your model. The bigger the better. If you want to make your own use an old satellite dish, because it is already concave, and coat it with reflective surface yourself.

Warren Said:

ideas for a 3-D model on solar energy?

We Answered:

Give a look to "stirling engines".
Unfortunately they are not very cheap, you should find a sponsor if you don't want to put the money.
However, they are extremely nice to see at work.

On the other hand, you may want to build something with solar panels, like a small building with solar panels on it.
I don't know if you have the necessary experience to built this, but let me describe my idea:
you build a model of a skyscraper, with a vertical "slice" of solar panels (you can get them from trash calculators). The skyscraper rotates on his axis so that the solar panels follow the sun. It also rotates at night, so that people have a rotating night view of the city, and in the morning when the sun raises, the skyscraper is already oriented to the sun. When it's dark, the energy harvested during the day allows you to light the rooms inside with leds (you can build this too).

If you have some basic experience with electronics, you can connect the solar panels so that when it's dark (lights off in the room), the electronics see that the solar panel is not producing any more and turns on the lights in the model building.

Hope you like it.

what is solar energy?

We Answered:

Solar energy is energy from the sun it can be used to heats chemical rods inside solar conductors the heat from the rods can make energy which can be used to heat our homes and give electrical power to our homes. hope that helped a litttle.

how can i make a model on devices based on solar energy?

We Answered:

google model solar energy

and it'll give you heaps of solar energy projects using models

for example:

and this one is similar but probably more detailed:
