Solar Energy Funds

Gertrude Said:

Why do you think that funding agencies do not support solar energy?

We Answered:

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "funding agencies", but solar power has gotten a huge boost by all sorts of backers in the last few years. Wall Street has funded hundreds of start up solar companies the last few years, many of which have done very well:

Also big business is going solar as well. Wal Mart and Google are both big supporters and users of solar:

Pretty much the only "agency" I can think of that hasn't really supported solar power is our federal government. Perhaps because of our President's vast connection to the oil and gas industries??

I['m wanting to know which funds are the best to invest in now?

We Answered:

Mutual funds where you can get a return rate of at least 8%-12% are ALWAYS the best way to go. NEVER put your eggs in ONE basket!

Renee Said:

Can you recommend some "clean energy" stocks and funds?

We Answered:

How about SOLF and PEIX. I usually stick with stocks, however, I know of some green funds, GCBLX & GCEQX. Due your own DD and be careful! JMT only. ts
