If you could find a cheap way to store the salt, insulate it and melt it, you might have something. I think the limiting factor would be storing it as a liquid. What would it be contained in? Would it be cheaper than pumping water up a hill?

As far as wind the amount of blade area you will need will vary with the wind speed and type of rotor used. Solar you can figure 75 watts per square foot (100% efficiency) between 10am to 2PM from late April to mid August assuming you live near the I90. South of I 90 more energy. North less. If you are making electricity assume 5% efficiency. That means you will require 1500 square feet to obtain 5KW for 4 hours per day.

there are their uses......................
1. we are able to see things or world around us only due to visible light of sun
2. Life exists on earth due to optimum temperature of 10-40 degree which is only possible due to sun..............we also use this heat energy of sun to dry our clothes ,take sun bath and to feel better in winters.
3. wind energy helps to produce electricity in remote areas through wind mills.......,also responsible for rain and season formation,,,,,,, moreover, it has also a entertaining side as - flying kites is only possible due to wind...........
4.food keeps us alive ...........what can i say more
