study for the quiz over the weekend
ps gym is easy, just do everything and strap on a bag of ice
start with the hwk in order of the periods

different types of energy conservation?

We Answered:

To conserve energy in houses you could add changing out light bulbs for compact fluorescents, adding insulation to outside walls or the attic, use reflective paint on the roof, plant shade trees on the south side of the house, use awnings or solar screens over west or south-facing windows, doing all your laundry in cold water, xeriscaping your yard with low-water-use plants, changing out shower heads and toilets to low-flow, retrofitting windows with double-paned glass, replacing old appliances with energy star models, using a clothes line instead of a dryer, recycling all household waste and/or composting, adding solar panels to heat water or even generate electricity. Thre's still more you could do, but here's a good start! Good Luck with your project!

Ways to conserve energy?

We Answered:

This sounds like a great project! You can add compost toilets, skylights, rain collecting water tanks, tires and straw makes great green insulation, solar powered lights and fans, rubber rugs and cork flooring makes the floor quite warm, you can have a kitchen that gets powered by a gasses from a compost...AH! I recently signed a petition against Nuclear Power in Ontario and In it there was a video about a new kind of wind power that can be put on the roofs of just about anything including homes (if you check it out, take the time to sign the petition...Is a worthy cause!)
