What do you call a project?

What is the topic? Photovoltaics is a very very large area.

A simple small module is going to cost and then you need to power something with it and then you need a way to turn it on and off and a way to put it all together as one unit.

Are you planing to power a light? Maybe a small fan or a motor?

Or are you talking about making a cell or maybe just take pre made cells and making a module?

Do you want to convert DC voltage to AC voltage?

How about what the waffers are made of?

You can take classes your whole life and only touch on one part of the topic photovoltics.

The best answer is "a) geothermal as it it is the only answer that may not be related to the sun if you take geothermal to mean electricity derived from volcanic activity. But "geothermal" is also used to describe a ground source heat pump heating/AC system for buildings and houses. This in turn depends upon a relatively constant ground temperature. This temperature is much warmer than it would otherwise be due to constant solar radiation stored in the surface of the Earth.

Photovoltaic uses the light from the sun
hydroelectric depends upon the water cycle (evaporation, wind, condensation) driven by solar radiation.
biomass is from living things that have received energy from the sun
Wind is driven by temperature changes that result from un equal warming from solar radiation.
