How To Produce Solar Energy

Jeffery Said:

How much energy can solar energy produce and how much does it cost?

We Answered:

Hello.... To answer your question, like buddy said befor solar energy can produce a maximum of 450 W/Sq M.
Now how much will it cost?
Well you can make your own solar panel for $200!
That's not bad. You may want to build a few panels and buy some battery cells to store the power so that you can power other things in your home!
Now just having solar power isn't good enough. To make a very efficiant power sorce for your home you need to build some windmills too. Those you can build to for around $200. So like the solar panels, you can get battery cells to store that power too...So your not only getting solar you are getting wind! all for free!

Just think about it: 3 solar panels a few meters sq.
4 windmills
= 3+4=7
7x200= $1400

So $1400 for a small power supply for your home....how long will that take to pay off? like a year in power bills!

So if your intereseted, check out this guide on how to Do It Yourself!
It's not very expensive, and it has lots of great idea's!
Consider it a small investment to save the enviroment and your money!

How much does it cost to produce solar energy?

We Answered:

I can tell you the costs etc for my system. I have a 3.74 kwh/dc system, it cost $26K, I got a $10K rebate from my utility, so I paid $16K out of pocket. I will also get a $2K fed tax credit. My summer electric bills went from over $200 down to $20, my winter bills have gone from over $100 to $35. I expect to save about $2K per year. If you estimate that electric rates increase an average of 5% per year I should break even in my 6th year. I expect to save well over $50k during the life of my system. I haven't zeroed out my bill, but I got a system that maximized my rebates, I would have broken even in about 10 years without the rebate. My city also buys back all the unused energy, so as rates go up I will save more.
