Tesla's tower, perhaps? This is just another way we know that the solar wind is NOT electrically neutral, since the Earth has to absorb the energy and balance itself through the aurora act. Our instruments in space can't detect the charge difference because the solar "wind" (or electric current) is so big in its plasma state, and the difference per cubic meter is so small.

This is why scientists like Phil Plait who ride on the nuts of big names like Einstein just might be wrong, but who are we to question Einstein, right? Well we got bigger and better telescopes and satellites for one, and we've been able to take better pictures and observations because of this. Damn, I think they were barely discovering the Sun's magnetic field during Einstein's time.

There are so many examples out there that demonstrate the electrical nature of the universe.

Venus' almost perfectly circular orbit, how we detected a long, "stringy" plasma structure issuing from Venus that nearly reached our planet, and how Venus spins the other direction very slowly, and how the entire planet has a nearly brand new surface, AND how ancient names for it are morning star, BEARDED planet, HAIRY planet, and SMOKY planet? Oh yeah, double mother-******' check on that.

Read up on the "Electric Universe" theory, it's the future of space science. All these old guys at NASA will be out of jobs if word ever gets out, so they'll get really mad when their life's work is challenged and I guess I can understand that.... but get OUT!

A. Energy to car = energy expended / motor efficiency = 350 J / 0.35 = 1000 J
Energy to SA = Incident intensity * area * time = 1000 J/s-m^2 * 0.4 m^2 * 25 s = 10000 J
SA efficiency = energy to car / energy to SA = 1000 / 10000 = 0.1 = 10%
B. Overall effiency = SA efficiency * motor efficiency = 0.1 * 0.35 = energy expended / energy to SA = 350 / 10000 = 0.035 = 3.5%

Okie Dokie , Here Goes. I have been living entirely on solar power for about 16 years , so should be qualified to answer this question. First off, the grid is the nationwide network of the existing electric companies all connected together to form the "grid" or it would look like a giant spider web across the nation. Now, I use my solar panels during the day to power my house, and store the excess in a large bank of batteries , which at night when there is no avail sunlight for solar, provides me with the same power as during the day. All the solar panels connected together are called the solar array, while the batteries, all connected or configured together are called the "battery bank". The 12 volt power from the solar panels and batteries are turned into 120 volt ac or house current through a devise called an "invertor" . The power going to the batteries is done so from a voltage regulator, kinda like on your car. It determines when your batteries are full, and then tapors down the power going into them so as to not explode them. Works very very well.
