Future Of Solar Energy

Vera Said:

Is it possible that the concentration of solar energy will continue to increase?

We Answered:

Interesting article, although I'm uncertain as to what is meant by the concentration of solar energy 100 times more than regular photovoltaic cell. It surely can't mean it will be 100 times as efficient.

With the exception of nuclear fission, tidal forces and geothermal heat, all our energy is generated from the solar source either directly from sunlight and wind, or via nature's own solar panels stored as fossil fuel. The Sun's energy on a bright sunny day striking the Earth's surface is about 1.3 kW per square meter a figure that cannot be improved, and it needs to be captured by large arrays of solar cells and converted into electricity. I do doubt that solar cells already in use are only 1% efficient. So what is meant by the concentration of solar energy being 100 times greater. Any increase in efficiency will obviously have great benefits, but I do find the article doesn't give much information on this.

Sam Said:

What are Future prospects for Solar Energy?

We Answered:

The political right wing in America and the military
industrial complex are in the way.
We've had all sorts of technology for a long time.

You won't hear any more inspiring speaches from me or folks my age.
America took our best efforts, said no, and chose war and oil.
If you want trouble, try to talk about alternatives to those autos.
It's not like we didn't have tar balls all along the Gulf in the 1980's.
It's a conscious choice, no accident! They HATE environmentalists, they'll NEVER let us win.

Andy Said:

what is The Future Evolution of Solar Energy ?

We Answered:

it will get better

Maurice Said:

why don't governments choose solar & hydrogen as future energy sources instead of coal, nuclear & oil?

We Answered:

Because we still have plenty of coal, oil, and nuclear power supplies and will continue to use these until the world's entire infrastructure changes. Oil will surely continue to used until every last drop is gone, and the world is forced to use something else.
