Melinda Said:

I have a question for people who are interested in global warming.....?

We Answered:

1. True, but excess Greenhouse Effect (which is what we have now) will be very damaging.

2. False. 1998 was an unusually warm year, but, long term, we're still warming.

http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/2007/

3. False. Water vapor causes only constant temperature because excess water vapor falls out as precipitation. Excess CO2 stays in the atmosphere, and that's a problem.

That's enough. This is a collection of falsehoods and half truths. Most are refuted here:

"So for those who are not sure what to believe, here is our round-up of the most common climate myths and misconceptions."

http://environment.newscientist.com/chan…

For example, item 3 is one of 26 myths refuted above, here.

"Climate myths: CO2 isn't the most important greenhouse gas"

http://environment.newscientist.com/chan…

EVERY scientific organization has issued an official statement that global warming is real, and mostly caused by us.

I'm with them.

What is your favorite Homer Simpson quote?

We Answered:

I love all of your quotes!

Marge: This all seems a little elaborate for Sloppy Joes. I know what the other 12 forks are for, but I don't know what to do with this one.
Homer: Why Marge my dear, I believe you are supposed to scratch your *** with it.

''I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called, "The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down."

'Kids, just because I don't care doesn't mean I'm not listening'.

'Oh, yeah, what are you gonna do? Release the dogs? Or the bees? Or the dogs with bees in their mouth and when they bark, they shoot bees at you? '

'What's the point of going out? We're just going to wind up back here anyway'

'Here's to alcohol: the source of, and answer to, all of life's problems.'

'Books are useless! I only ever read one book, "To Kill A Mockingbird" and it gave me absolutely no insight on how to kill mockingbirds! Sure it taught me not to judge a man by the colour of his skin... but what good does that do me?'

'I want to set the record straight: I thought the cop was a prostitute. '

Connie Said:

How to re-use the heat produced in the engine to make the engine run over en over?..........?

We Answered:

MG sets/ motor generator sets, a concept in electric cars is that when a motor is used to drive the wheels on the car and when the car is at speed and the brakes are applied/actually the motor that turns the wheels , now becomes a generator supplying electricity to recharge the batteries in the car and with the flow of electricity there will be torque generated that will provide braking for the car....

another issue is heat.....all the heat generated by a car is waste, making the efficiency of the gasoline engine at 30%......what we need is a way to harness the heat output to be reused....

a major overhaul of the gasoline engine cycle has to occur.....when Edison went to improve lighting, he did NOT try to improve the candle...

Discuss It!
